The Role
R&D Consulting at Veeva fuses strategy and operations with data and technology. As an Engagement Manager, you will manage complex and novel consulting projects for Veeva customers in the research and development (R&D) space – leading teams and planning, organizing, and tracking all aspects of delivery. You will support building our brand in the market, developing our customer network, and identifying and acquiring new projects to help customers deliver on their complex business challenges. You may focus on one or more critical areas such as Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance/Drug Safety, and Quality Management.
What You\'ll Do
- Lead multiple project engagement teams – empower the team to plan and manage all aspects of delivery, from scope to quality assurance
- End-to-end design, build, and delivery of deliverables that meet project goals and objectives
- Proactively lead business development opportunities – identify and generate new project opportunities, clarify customer challenges and needs, and develop compelling proposals to win new work
- Be the R&D consulting lead on one or more strategic accounts
- Provide industry, market, and functional insight into R&D challenges
- Build strong, trusted relationships with customers, serving as a primary contact for strategic and tactical questions
- Develop and disseminate thought leadership and campaigns that differentiate Veeva R&D Consulting in Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Strategy & Operations, and Quality & Safety
Requirements
- Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree with excellent academic record
- 6+ years of consulting experience in a reputable strategic/management consulting organization
- Experience in Life Sciences
- Strong understanding and interest in pharmaceutical R&D, with experience delivering engagements in Regulatory, Clinical, Quality, or Safety
- Highly efficient project management skills
- Credibility and experience engaging with senior Life Sciences customers
- Proven track record of developing new, high-value customer engagements
- Demonstrated leadership in delivering complex project outputs
- Deep understanding of the R&D value chain
Nice to Have
- Fluency in multiple European languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish) in addition to English
- Experience with digital technologies – platforms, analytics tools, apps, emerging tech, etc.
- Understanding of Veeva’s broader platforms and how they can be leveraged by R&D consulting services
- Experience working with SaaS solutions
- Veeva certification on relevant R&D products
