Overview

Specialist Engineer for VF National Gas Account.

Responsibilities

• Configuring routers and switches according to design documents (IP data perspective).
• Onboarding devices onto the network management platform.
• Racking and staking relevant devices in Data Centres.
• Attending internal meetings and collaborating with project managers to deliver project implementation plans.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Cisco LAN and Wireless LAN technologies, including switching and IP addressing best practices.
• Self-motivated with strong customer relationship skills and ability to work in a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Expertise in Cisco routers and switches (e.g., 3850s, Nexus 9k, ISRs, ASRs).
• Experience in configuring networks in managed data-networking environments and relevant networking qualifications.

Requirements

• SC Clearance required.
• Transferrable SC clearance.
• Hybrid role with 25% travel to various customer locations in West Midlands, Reading, Bath, etc.
