Engineering Excellence Manager

Ford Credit Europe is transforming how customers access vehicle finance globally. As Engineering Excellence Manager, you will play a key role in building a high-performing, modernsoftwareengineering organisation by optimising processes, enabling technologies, and developing talent.
Responsibilities
- Ways of Working:
Streamlinesoftwareengineering processes, improve planning andsoftwaredelivery cycles, coordinatesoftware release management, align OKRs and KPIs, and implement reporting frameworks to measure team performance. - Technology Enablement:
Own the tooling strategy and roadmap. Evaluate and deploy technologies that boost productivity. Deliver training to support tool adoption. - People Development:
Supportsoftwareengineering leaders in building a culture of growth. Help implement skills frameworks, development plans, andtargetedtraining programsfor our software engineers. - Insights & Reporting:
Develop dashboards and reports (e.g. via Jira) to provide actionable, data-driven insights.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Significant years in enterprise software engineering (Java, Python, or similar).
- Significant years insoftwareengineering operations or process improvement.
- Strong communicator and collaborator with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Experience in leading change, implementing tools, and scalingsoftwareengineering effectiveness.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, build structure, and influence across teams.
The Role:
You’ll report to the CTO – Europe, and work closely withsoftwareengineering, SRE, and product operations teams. Hybrid working is expected, based in Dunton2 days a week, with occasional travel to sites in Spain and Germany.
