As the Engineering Lead for the Testing Services Lab, you will drive the transformation of our testing and quality engineering capabilities into scalable, robust “X-as-a-Service” offerings. You will be accountable for the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of the Testing Services Lab product portfolio, ensuring our solutions address the evolving challenges of modern engineering, including automation, AI adoption, and self-service enablement.**Key Responsibilities****Strategic Leadership & Product Alignment*** Define and implement the technical strategy for the Testing Services Lab, ensuring alignment with the Lab’s product portfolio and the broader engineering platform vision.* Lead the transformation of testing tools and frameworks into modular, consumable “X-as-a-Service” products integrated and consumable from our Internal Developer Platform, enabling engineering teams to adopt best-in-class testing capabilities on demand.* Continuously assess industry trends, customer needs, and internal feedback to evolve the Lab’s offerings and address emerging challenges in testing and quality engineering.**Product Development & Service Delivery*** Oversee the design, development, and deployment of testing services, frameworks, and platforms, including functional, non-functional, data, and test management tools.* Champion the adoption of AI, automation, and self-service models to streamline and optimise testing processes across the organisation.* Ensure all services are scalable, reliable, secure, and easy to integrate into diverse engineering workflows.**Stakeholder Engagement & Evangelism*** Build strong partnerships with engineering teams, product managers, and business partners to understand requirements and drive adoption of Testing Services Lab products.* Act as a technical evangelist for the Lab, promoting best practices and the value of “X-as-a-Service” testing solutions.* Communicate complex technical concepts and product progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.**Team Leadership & Capability Building*** Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.* Role model the organisation’s values and behaviours, supporting the growth and performance of your team.**Why Lloyds Banking Group**We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good.
