Your Mission

The Engineering Systems team at Recombine is responsible for building and maintaining internal platform services that are crucial for accelerating the productivity of all engineering teams. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and expand two core components: the Feature Flags Service and the Engineering Internal Observability Platform (E360). You’ll ensure that these systems serve as the foundation for seamless and efficient engineering workflows, allowing us to deliver top-tier AI-driven products.

What You’ll Do at Recombine

• Plan, design, and develop software systems and applications for internal services, including cloud-based tools that support the engineering organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and engineer key aspects of our AI products and internal services.
• Ensure that technical deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Establish and promote agile engineering practices, helping to drive continuous improvement in development processes.
• Identify bottlenecks and issues in existing systems, proactively developing solutions to mitigate these challenges.
• Create and manage feature development plans, design system components, and build the engineering roadmap to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation to ensure the reliability and scalability of Recombine’s internal platforms.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• 1+ years of experience leading a functional team or proven experience mentoring and coaching peers in a leadership development capacity.
• 5+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role, ideally with a focus on infrastructure or systems engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in the B2B software or technology industry.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or Rust, and a strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with multithreading, asynchronous programming, and synchronization techniques.
• Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms and their practical applications.
• Solid experience with the software development life cycle, and a track record of delivering high-quality, well-tested code.Ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure.
• Expertise in .NET, C#, and familiarity with cloud services (preferably Azure, AWS, or GCP).
