# Enterprise ArchitectTesco UK • Welwyn Garden City • Full-Time • Apply by 10-Oct-2025About the roleAs an Enterprise Architect at Tesco you lead the formulation, development and alignment of new and existing Technology with the Tesco Business Strategy to collectively deliver a simpler, flexible & sustainable architecture. You define, communicate and govern the enterprise architecture for Tesco by creating standards and guidance for Technology programmes and solutions in order to ensure it enables and delivers the Tesco Business Strategy.What is in it for youWe’re all about the little helps. That’s why we make sure our Tesco colleague benefits package takes care of you – both in and out of work. to find out more!* Annual bonus scheme of up to 45% of base salary* Car allowance of £7,320 per annum* Holiday starting at 25 days plus a personal day (plus Bank holidays)* Private medical insurance* Retirement savings plan - save between 6% - 10% and Tesco will contribute 1.5 times this amount* 26 weeks maternity and adoption leave (after 1 years’ service) at full pay, followed by 13 weeks of Statutory Maternity Pay or Statutory Adoption Pay, we also offer 4 weeks fully paid paternity leaveYou will be responsible forFostering understanding of the current technology landscape and its impact on stakeholders:\* Ensure we have models and materials that describe the landscape at a high-level and how it supports the business\* Help colleagues of all levels to understand the bigger picture and their role / activities within it to aid decision making Evolving and embedding Technology strategy across Tesco Technology's functions:\* Partnering technology engineering and product leadership to define target enterprise architecture that will improve our business for customers and colleagues in line with our business and Technology strategy and plans\* Identify organisational requirements for the resources, structures and cultural changes necessary to support the delivery of the enterprise architecture\* Identify the optimal approach to delivering Tesco business strategy while increasing agility and driving simplicity / cost efficiency over the short, medium and long-term.\* Supporting portfolio and programme teams to contribute to planning activities utilising our broad understanding of Tesco, its technology landscape and broader industry / technology trends Guiding high-level delivery planning and solution design to deliver our strategic goals whilst ensuring we continuously deliver business value\* Work in collaboration other teams to help ensure we design flexible, efficient and secure solutions\* Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles, policies, standards etc. to guide solution decision making for architecturally significant initiatives\* Operate the architecture review, governance and exception processesYou will needProven record of Technology delivery at Tesco scaleSuccessful use of Enterprise Architecture to shape strategic prioritiesSolution Architecture experience on major programmesCreation, communication and embedding of Technology strategyLeading solution architecture governance / assuranceHands on engineering experienceOur vision at Tesco is to become every customer's favourite way to shop, whether they are at home or out on the move.
