Role Overview
As Enterprise Data Architect you will lead the design and evolution of a connected, managed enterprise data architecture that enables the vision for a winning data‑driven business. You will collaborate with the Head of Data Strategy & Data Architecture, the Chief Data Office, and international colleagues across Intact to ensure alignment, buy‑in and delivery of cohesive data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assess enterprise data requirements and translate them into actionable data guidance.
- Lead data architecture engagement across delivery portfolios, driving data planning and high‑level design.
- Define and apply data methodologies, patterns and standards for key capabilities such as data modelling, master and reference data management, data integration and the development of a cloud data platform.
- Partner with the Chief Data Office to enable a connected data capability end‑to‑end.
- Lead and inspire teams, formally or informally, providing vision, structure and support.
- Mentor colleagues in best practices and champion the evolving data culture of the company.
Core Skills and Experience
- Stakeholder engagement: Comfortable navigating diverse perspectives and challenging conversations with professionalism and respect.
- Enterprise data leadership: Demonstrated hands‑on experience in enterprise data architecture and data management, with a solid understanding of data protection, software design and solution delivery.
- Team leadership: Ability to lead teams toward impactful outcomes, manage resourcing and scale capacity through staff augmentation.
Technical Skills
- Data modelling tools – Erwin is required.
- Enterprise data catalog – experience with MS Purview is preferred.
- Cloud & analytics stack – Microsoft stack, Azure cloud, Databricks, Power BI, Azure ML and AI trends.
- Architecture management – experience with architecture asset management processes and tools.
