Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Nillion is humanity's first Blind Computer. It is powered by a decentralized network of nodes that enables "Blind Computation" through the coordination and orchestration of privacy enhancing technologies (PETs) such as multi-party computation (MPC) and homomorphic encryption (HE). Nillion believes Blind Computation will become the internet's base layer for all private data as PETs continue to mature. Nillion has attracted a notable initial cohort of Blind Computation builders across AI, DeFi, medical data, custody, wallets, global identity, messaging and much more.

As reported by TechCrunch, Nillion in the midst of the bear market of 2022 raised the highest valuation for a Seed Round reported in Q4-2022. The project has attracted some of the top talent in tech, including the Founder of Indiegogo (Slava Rubin), Associate General Counsel of Coinbase (Lindsay Danas Cohen), Co-Founder of Hedera Hashgraph (Andrew Masanto) and several other high profile team members.

As an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at Nillion, you will immerse yourself in the core of our company, understanding the technology, product vision, and strategic direction, while identifying opportunities to build a new business on top of Nillion's network. This role is perfect for a technically fluent and strategically minded founder-type who wants to build an exciting business but needs time, resources, and exposure before launching.

You'll work closely with our engineering, product, marketing, and ecosystem teams to conduct deep research, pressure test ideas, validate use cases, and ultimately lead the spinout of a new venture that leverages Nillion's core technology. This is an initial 3 month contract, with the possibility to be extended to 9 months. We are accepting applications globally, as this is a 100% remote contract.

Program Structure

Months 0-3 | Deep Immersion

Learn Nillion's technology, product, ecosystem, and market to identify high-potential venture ideas.

End of Month 3 | Opportunity Pitch & Review

Present a well-researched venture concept; a decision committee evaluates whether to continue with MVP development or conclude the EIR engagement.

Months 3-9 MVP | Development & Validation

If approved, build and test an MVP with early users; validate traction metrics like CAC, retention, and conversion.

After Month 9 | Venture Spinout Decision

Final review determines whether the concept becomes an independent company with Nillion's support or concludes the EIR program.

Ongoing Support

For approved ventures, receive product guidance, investor introductions, and continued strategic support from Nillion.

Responsibilities

• Internal Integration: Deeply integrate with Nillion's product and engineering teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of our technology stack, capabilities, and roadmap
• Opportunity Discovery: Research and validate new venture ideas based on gaps in the market, technical leverage from Nillion, and emerging industry trends
• Prototyping & Validation: Design and test MVP concepts or prototypes internally and/or externally to assess product-solution fit
• Strategy Development: Create business models, go-to-market strategies, and operational plans for potential spinout opportunities
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally across the company (Engineering, Product, Ecosystem, Legal) to shape the future venture
• Venture Formation: Lead the transition of the most promising concept into an independent business entity that could receive seed investment
• Ecosystem Contribution: Contribute insights and frameworks that other projects in the Nillion ecosystem can benefit from
  
  

• Must have a founder mentality
• Prior experience as a founder, early-stage builder, or operator in a startup environment
• Proven track record in identifying, scoping, and launching new products or businesses
• Comfortable with technical concepts and working closely with engineers, able to pick up technical fluency quickly
• Ability to independently conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user interviews to validate ideas
• Must have bias for action and be execution oriented; someone who can go from zero to one rapidly and thrives in ambiguity
• Excellent and clear communication skills; capable of crafting compelling narratives for internal stakeholders, users, and investors
• Knowledge of Web3 and AI technologies
• Fluency in English is required
• A background in CS or engineering is a plus
