Role: Toxicologist (Environmental Analytical Chemistry)
Contract Role
Location: Remote, UK Coverage
We are seeking an Independent Analytical Chemistry Technical Assessor in Toxicology. Our external Technical Assessors play a vital role in the UKAS assessment process, providing essential expertise to evaluate laboratories across the UK.
Ongoing right to work in the UK is required.
Ideal candidates will have experience in toxicology or workplace drug testing, along with:
- Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited testing laboratory.
- A deep understanding of quality control across various analytical techniques.
- Knowledge of data performance checks and data integrity requirements.
- Experience handling matrices involved in toxicology testing.
- Experience with screening and instrumental techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with laboratory staff, management, and customers.
Key Skills:
- Practical laboratory experience.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry-standard methods and relevant sector schemes.
- Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 standard testing and calibration laboratories.
- Auditing experience is advantageous.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for communication with Certification Body staff, management, and clients.
- Full training provided for Report Writing to UKAS standards, including ISO/IEC 17024:2012 and UKAS systems training.
