Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Exchange Solution Architect with deep expertise in the Microsoft 365 compliance ecosystem. The role involves designing secure, enterprise-scale messaging solutions and governing messaging and compliance strategies for a critical enterprise environment in London.

The Role

As our Exchange Solution Architect, you will be the technical authority on all aspects of Microsoft Exchange Online, on-premises, and the broader M365 compliance suite. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and compliance teams to translate complex requirements into secure, scalable, and well-governed architectural solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-scale solutions for Microsoft Exchange, Purview Compliance, and information governance.
• Develop and define policy governance models for data retention, deletion, and eDiscovery.
• Produce comprehensive architecture documents, design blueprints, and operational runbooks.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to engineering teams throughout development and testing phases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate requirements, ensuring solutions meet stringent compliance and security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to mail flow, archiving, and M365 service integration.

What We're Looking For (Essential Skills)

• Must hold active Security Clearance (SC).
• Extensive experience with Exchange Online, Exchange On-Premise, and M365.
• Proven hands-on expertise with Microsoft Purview Compliance, including eDiscovery, Retention Policies, and Litigation Hold.
• Solid understanding of email routing (SMTP), EWS API, Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, and mail flow concepts.
• Demonstrable experience in designing enterprise-scale retention and deletion strategies.
• Strong knowledge of integrating M365 services (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Graph API).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

• Rate: Competitive (Inside IR35)
