Overview
The Executive Search Consultant (Retained) will support the pursuit and strategic account expansion and development into new regions and new logo wins. This role is an opportunity to impact the growth of the company on a global scale and to drive the client acquisition sales strategy within Europe and the US, with potential involvement in APAC.
You must have experience within the chemicals or plastics sector. Ideally 2+ years within this space and experience winning clients. You will inherit a warm desk with significant scope and market ownership.
What You Will Be Doing
- Identify and map target clients (existing clients and new logos) and undertake business development activities to engage and qualify target clients to win retained business.
- Manage the full spectrum of the sales cycle from need creation to business justification, bid creation to solution presentation, negotiation and closure.
- Continually qualify engagements, collaborate with virtual teams, and develop compelling client-focused propositions using internal capabilities.
- Identify potential client skill or capability gaps and devise solutions.
- Collaborate with BU leaders across functions to develop leads, opportunities and progress solutions.
- Use a consultative, strategic approach and networking to drive new business through meetings and client introductions.
- Research and identify potential leads in target markets and industries with skills shortages.
- Engage prospective clients and candidates to join networking events.
- Target specific industry sectors with known skills shortages.
- Utilize outbound prospecting techniques (cold calling, emails, social media, networking) to generate leads.
- Develop new opportunities with a wider team of core services.
- Be an active member of the sales and Go To Market team and contribute energy.
- Maintain market awareness of competitors and products and contribute knowledge to team strategy.
- Identify client requirements and introduce appropriate solutions and proposals to deliver results and address resourcing challenges.
- Build a pursuit plan and map out target markets; network and cultivate key client engagement at the right level.
- Track activity and engagement in the Sales CRM.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop targeted campaigns and messaging for buyer personas.
- Track and analyze key metrics to measure the effectiveness of lead generation and optimize accordingly.
- Leverage leads from marketing campaigns and engagements.
- Present propositions using available collateral and identify key stakeholders to establish a portfolio of clients and contacts.
- Work with the marketing team to input into campaigns, providing thought leadership and invitations to events.
Who You Are
- Proven experience of winning and working retained business internationally, including six-figure accounts.
- Proven success in multi-hire campaigns and solution selling for new logos.
- Curious, eager to learn and execute new skills.
- Proven track record of creating, managing, negotiating and closing deals with strong client understanding.
- Adept with social media and generating market interest.
