About the Team
The Children with Disabilities Team supports children with complex and profound needs as a result of their disabilities. The team is passionate about working with children, families and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for vulnerable children. The team undertakes Family Help Assessments and works with Children in Need, children subject to Child Protection Plans and Children in Care. A multi‑disciplinary approach is modelled in partnership with universal and mainstream services to support children, young people and their families. Now is an exciting time to be part of our team as Warwickshire begins to embed our Families First teams who support the young people in our County. Our approach is about locality working, multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency teams that support the whole family, building strong partnerships with local services, Health, Police and Education.

About the Role
We are recruiting for the role of a Family Practitioner in our Children with Disabilities Team Assessment Hub covering the County of Warwickshire. The position is full time (37 hours per week) and on a permanent contract basis.
Location: You will be based at either Hillary Road Office in Nuneaton or Shire Hall in Warwick.
Working pattern: 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am – 5pm on Fridays. Occasionally you may be asked to work outside of these hours for example, in an emergency.
We offer a mixture of office and home based working. The expectation is you are office based at least twice per week.
Key Requirements
- Ambitious, professional, conscientious Family Practitioner.
- Experience with children and young people with complex needs and disabilities.
- Knowledgeable of the challenges experienced by families as a whole and experience supporting children and their families.
- Team player, working with colleagues in a range of disciplines, sharing knowledge, and providing support and advice to deliver the best possible outcomes.
- Experience of writing statutory assessments.
