The Welfare and Self-Reliance Department strives to follow Jesus Christ by embracing the two great commandments to love God and love our neighbors as it ministers to temporal needs, builds temporal self-reliance, and blesses both givers and receivers. The Family Services Division assists leaders to help members develop emotional self-reliance and overcome obstacles to making and keeping sacred covenants. We provide resources to alleviate suffering, maintain human dignity, instill hope, and promote emotional health and well-being. For the new Europe North Area, we are hiring highly motivated professionals, who wish to contribute to the cause of the building of the Lord’s Kingdom, through Christlike Service. While maintaining alignment with the Brethren, we seek inspiration as we adjust our services to local needs and culture as we provide support to leaders, members and missionaries. Responsibilities
- Provide the highest quality of consultation and develop and maintain positive relationships with church leaders.
- Provide exceptional clinical services - for individuals and group therapy sessions with great attention to quality and timely notes, consultations, and terminations.
- Provide exceptional clinical services in pre-mission assessment and support for in field and early return missionaries, participation in Mission Health Councils.
- Provide expertise and exceptional clinical services in responding to emergency, abuse, and addiction situations.
- Protects and ensures client confidentiality for self and agency fully committed to data security, privacy practices and organization priorities.
- Team builder: engaged member of the team who maintains a supportive relationship with all the staff: able to provide and receive honest feedback.
- Fully participates in agency council meetings, actively seeks to learn from others; timely response to agency, region, and headquarter needs and expectations.
- Develop relationships with industry professionals and network with community resources as referral sources.
- Supervise, train, and develop Family Services programs and area initiatives.
- Ensure agency legal, ethical, and policy compliance.
- Managing local agency budget and resources.
- Develop and fulfill ‘Area Service Plan', including coordinating travel to outlying areas and overnight as needed, evening, weekend, and holiday work.
- Strong commitment to the mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (applicant must be a member with a valid temple recommend).
- Bachelor’s degree and master’s degree are required, either in clinical psychology, psychotherapy, or related degree that leads to clinical licensure.
- Holder of and ability to maintain current independent clinical licensure in accordance with local professional licensing board.
- Minimum 5 years of post-masters’ clinical counselling experience
- Advanced clinical skills and receptiveness to feedback.
- Ability to provide clinical supervision and mentoring.
- Education and experience in the following clinical areas: crisis response, abuse, and addiction.
- Expertise and experience providing training in group settings.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to different populations, cultures, countries, or backgrounds.
- Strong relationship skills.
- Possesses a powerful intellectual curiosity that fuels a drive for advancing professional development with current modalities that align with organizational values.
- Strong work ethic and professionalism.
- Native or C-1 English level is required; other language competence could be considered an advantage.
