Overview

Field Sales Account Manager – South East Region – Retail Home Décor – Selling into wholesale and retail showrooms. Home-based, field-based, and client-facing – with autonomy and trust! Managing a portfolio of independent retailers and wholesalers. Industrial & Wholesale Home Décor Product Range – Covering the South of England - 60% Account Growth - 40% New Business.

Negotiable basic salary up to £45,000 with exceptional OTE to £75,000. Company car – Excellent benefits: holidays, pension, and more. Loads of autonomy – relationship management – elite product range. This is a field-based role with a strong emphasis on account management, alongside territory growth and new business development.

You’ll be selling a highly respected product range / portfolio into established industrial and wholesale clients across the South region. Outstanding sales role with opportunity and autonomy!

We need drive, motivation, ENERGY and a work-smart outlook. You will need to be an excellent communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring repeat business and generating new leads. You will be on the road visiting customers; driving licence is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Willingness and ability to develop new business sales strategies and proactively maximise every opportunity to grow sales in your designated area through existing and new customer relationships.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance, determining and implementing strategies to meet changing market conditions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and senior management to meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the business.
  • Develop key customer relationships, understanding and advising on strategy to build and enhance the supplier / customer partnership with a view to maximising sales opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to remain at the forefront of the industry.
  • Attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities as necessary.
  • Provide regular updates to the Sales Director.
  • Submit expenses on Sage HR and submit regular mileage sheets, operating within agreed expense guidelines.
  • Keep any company car under your care clean, tidy, smoke free and roadworthy at all times by ensuring that all maintenance requirements are adhered to, as and when required.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Field-based role with a focus on account management, territory growth and new business development.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and able to work autonomously with sound planning and prioritisation.
  • Full driving licence is essential.
