Job Details
This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Applicants must disclose all convictions, cautions, and disqualifications. Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory DBS certificate and a risk assessment of any disclosed information.
Location: Central Belt, Scotland (Glasgow to Edinburgh). The position requires frequent travel across central Scotland, covering areas such as Motherwell, Falkirk, Stirling, and surrounding towns.
Responsibilities
- Conduct service visits to address reported calls and maintain high standards of professional service support.
- Respond promptly to customer service requests for the repair of business equipment.
- Perform fault diagnosis and implement effective repairs through adjustments, cleaning, or spare parts replacement.
- Carry out preventive maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines and service management recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing detailed reports on work completed, and ensuring acceptance of equipment condition and performance post‑service.
- Install equipment sold by the company and ensure optimal performance to satisfy customer needs.
- Provide training and guidance to customers to maximize equipment efficiency and prevent operational errors.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables effectively to support service operations.
A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one‑hour lunch break. The role is fully remote at client sites; attendance at our offices is required periodically for team meetings and training.
Skills And Experience Required
- Experience as an engineer on MFD printers.
- IT knowledge with the ability to network devices and set up scanning functions.
- First‑class customer service skills with previous customer‑facing experience.
- Experience working in a target‑driven environment.
- Professional appearance and communication style.
- Willingness to undertake training on new product lines, such as laptops and PCs.
