Win as a Team
As a Finance Actuarial Transformation Consultant you will work as part of the team responsible for the Finance & Actuarial Transformation project within the Corporate Actuarial function. Your role will involve working with Finance SMEs, Intact Corporate Actuarial SMEs and other project team members to assess and implement change to data, processes and systems. This role is being advertised on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
You’ll make an impact by:
This role will report to stakeholders and manage expectations, plan and ensure the project can meet demanding timelines whilst maintaining an effective control environment. Ensure project management governance is adhered to using the RSA’s project methodology tools.
Analysts will typically be around the actuarial trainee or part-qualified actuary level, whereas Reserving Consultants will typically be around the nearly or newly qualified actuary level. The key difference is Consultants will be able to work with increased responsibility and require less direction. Consultants will be expected to guide and support Analysts in achieving their objectives.
Finance & Actuarial Transformation Project:
- Work on change activity within the Corporate Actuarial team within agreed scope of the Finance & Actuarial Transformation Project.
- Support development of Actuarial requirements and proposed changes to data, processes and systems for the Project.
- Interact with wider UK&I Corporate Actuarial team to ensure proposed changes to data, processes and systems are appropriate to the needs of the team.
- Develop and implement changes within Corporate Actuarial ranging from changes to data, inputs, outputs and processes across all areas impacted by the project. Making continuous improvement and progress on agreed project priorities to help our journey to outperformance.
- Work with UK&I Finance SMEs, Intact Corporate Actuarial SMEs and other project team members to deliver agreed changes to data, processes and systems.
- Complete testing of new processes and systems alongside other team members.
- Generic actuarial analysis required within the scope of the Finance & Actuarial Transformation project.
Your skills and experience:
- Appropriate actuarial training, qualification or experience commensurate to the expectations set out above
- The job holder should possess a good understanding of the finance & actuarial processes, systems & software.
- Credibility to operate in support of the UK Actuarial leaders, work as part of an effective team, and to drive continuous improvement.
- Relationship and trust building with senior actuarial colleagues and the business is paramount.
