Overview
Finance Business Partner - Personal Support (FTC) at Mencap. This fixed-term contract for 12 months to cover a maternity leave. The role supports the operational division that provides care and support to adults with learning disabilities across England, Cymru and Northern Ireland. The range is provided by Mencap; your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There is flexibility around where the role is based; home-based with some travel may be possible.
We are looking for someone who is a confident communicator with both finance colleagues and operational staff, adaptable to different audiences, well organized, able to prioritise workloads, and capable of maintaining accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Use commercial awareness to work with management teams to help deliver strong financial performance across the region, providing timely and accurate financial information to a variety of stakeholders.
- Communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues and senior management.
- Drive improvements in financial understanding and accountability to deliver a first-class commercial and customer-focused service.
- Collaborate effectively with others and challenge assumptions when appropriate.
- Interpret a range of financial and operational information and reach quick judgments.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting; contribute to planning and strategic business planning.
- Demonstrate appropriate planning and organisational skills for timely delivery of outputs.
- Hold ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar qualification or equivalent relevant qualification.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to convey financial information to non-finance colleagues and senior management.

- Strong collaboration skills with the confidence to challenge others.
- Ability to interpret a range of financial/operational information and reach quick judgments.
- Experience in financial analysis and reporting.

- An ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification or hold a similar and relevant qualification.
Location & Flexibility
We have large offices in London and Peterborough and smaller offices located throughout the UK. If there is no office available within a reasonable distance, the role may be offered as home-based with some travel for team meetings.
