Overview

Finance Business Partner required to join a well-established, forward-thinking Public Sector organisation on a permanent full-time basis. Our client is looking for an engaging Finance Business Partner / Management Accountant who is keen to add real value to the service line and wider organisation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with budget holders and stakeholders within assigned Directorates to provide expert financial advice and guidance on financial matters.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with budget holders, understanding their objectives, and translating them into financial plans and strategies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective financial controls and processes.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for assigned teams, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
• Analyse financial data, identify trends and variances and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• A recognised accountancy qualification/part qualification (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE.
• Proven business partnering skills.
• The ability to build, engage, influence and challenge as and where needed.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
