Our Team
The Finance Risk and Governance team works closely with all areas of Finance and Treasury, 2nd Line and 3rd Line, to ensure all Risk and Control requirements are fulfilled, maintaining our safety standards.
You'll play a key role in supporting Finance in building a strong risk management culture and overseeing the 'first line of defence' in executing its risk management responsibilities. This is an excellent time to join as we develop risk and control capabilities within Finance.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting in the development and delivery of a robust Risk and Control framework, ensuring management focus on achieving standards, identifying control improvements, and monitoring responses.
- Providing support and training across Finance to ensure controls are identified, documented, and assessed appropriately.
- Planning and performing testing of Finance controls, documenting work to high standards for re-performance.
- Overseeing team reviews to ensure compliance with the Group's Risk and Control methodology.
- Supporting policy implementation and compliance across Finance.
We need you to have
- A good understanding of Finance and Treasury functions.
- An accounting qualification, partly qualified, or relevant experience.
- Subject matter expertise in assessing Risks and Controls.
- A proven track record of enhancing control environments and reporting.
- Expertise in report writing and analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills focused on stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience managing stakeholders at all levels, especially senior stakeholders.
It's a bonus if you have but not essential
- End-to-end process mapping experience.
- Controls testing experience in 2nd Line, Internal, or External audit.
