Finance Risk and Governance Manager
Location: City of Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom

Salary range: £47,200 - £60,000 per annum DOE + benefits
Location: UK Flexible with occasional visits to Glasgow HUB (at least 1-2 times per month)
Contract type: 2 fixed-term opportunities for up to approximately 12 months
Our Team
The Finance Risk and Governance team collaborates with all areas of Finance and Treasury, including 2nd and 3rd Line of Defense, to ensure compliance with Risk and Control requirements, maintaining organizational safety.
You will support Finance in cultivating a strong risk management culture and oversee the 'first line of defense' in executing risk management responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to developing risk and control capabilities within Finance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting in developing and implementing a robust Risk and Control framework, focusing management attention on standards, identifying control improvements, and monitoring responses.
- Providing support and training to ensure controls are identified, documented, and assessed appropriately.
- Planning and executing tests of the Finance controls landscape, documenting work to high standards for re-performance.
- Leading reviews and activities to ensure compliance with the Group's Risk and Control methodology.
- Supporting policy implementation and compliance across Finance.
What We Need You To Have
- Understanding of how Finance and Treasury functions operate.
- Accounting qualification, partly qualified, or relevant experience.
- Expertise in assessing Risks and Controls.
- Track record of enhancing control environments and reporting.
- Strong report writing and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience managing stakeholders at all levels, especially senior stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with end-to-end process mapping.
- Experience with controls testing in 2nd Line, Internal, or External audit.
