About you

As the Finance Transformation Lead, you will play a critical part in the FRS 102 transition across the business. This is an exceptional interim opportunity for a change-driven professional who excels at bridging strategic vision with operational delivery. You’ll be at the heart of a high-impact finance transformation, steering critical workstreams and embedding sustainable change across the business.

As the Finance Transformation Lead (FRS 102), your role will include, but not be limited to:

Responsibilities

• Lead timely and pragmatic changes across policies, controls, processes, and systems to ensure alignment with updated accounting standards and operational needs
• Own the FRS 102 transition workstream, with a particular focus on revenue recognition (UK GAAP equivalent of IFRS 15)
• Act as the lead SME, advising on technical adoption and translating complex accounting requirements into actionable solutions
• Design, plan, and execute all necessary changes across finance architecture, ensuring readiness for audit, compliance, and operational integration
• Influence senior stakeholders to embed sustainable change, balancing strategic priorities with commercial pragmatism
• Ensure full compliance with audit protocols and accounting standards across all reporting layers
• Collaborate with Business Systems teams to configure and validate system changes ahead of testing and deployment
• Direct impact modelling across comparative data sets, forecasts, budgets, and KPIs to support informed decision-making
• Develop and deliver clear communication and training strategies to ensure stakeholder alignment and capability uplift
• Support cross-functional project delivery by aligning Finance, IT, and Programme teams to key milestones and outcomes

What we're looking for

• A confident, delivery-focused professional with deep expertise in finance transformation and accounting standard transitions (e.g. IFRS 15, FRS 102) - Combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution across complex change programmes
• Proven success in accounting standard adoption across professional services and construction sectors
• Strong command of end-to-end finance processes, from close to reporting
• Commercially astute, with experience guiding strategic and tactical finance decisions
• Skilled at engaging senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment
• Clear, credible communicator across finance and non-finance audiences
• Highly organised and calm under pressure, with a bias for action
• Confident leader and collaborative team player, comfortable taking initiative
• Positive, pragmatic, and delivery-focused—thrives in fast-paced environments
