Financial Controller

I am currently looking for a Financial Controller to come and join a large TMT company who are going through a period of growth. For this role you will be comfortable working with senior leaders across the business and want to make positive change.
As the Financial Controller, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, responsible for overseeing a robust accounting and reporting function. You'll lead a large team and be instrumental in strengthening our control environment, improving reporting accuracy, and driving significant finance system improvements. This is a chance to make a tangible impact and contribute directly to our success measures.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across corporate accounting, consolidations, external reporting, and finance transformation.
- Manage the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financials.
- Enforce strong financial controls and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Lead the external audit process, ensuring all local statutory requirements are met efficiently and on time.
- Provide expert accounting guidance on complex transactions, including revenue recognition and lease accounting, for local GAAP's and IFRS reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to standardize and enhance reporting and controls processes.
- Be a key player in our regional finance system transition and modernisation.
- Act as a core member of the Finance Leadership Team, demonstrating a positive, can-do approach and a willingness to operate in the details.
Experience to be considered:
- ACA qualified from a technical background with 12+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience directly managing, coaching, and developing high-performing accounting teams.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
- Previous experience in a multi-national organisation ideally within a listed environment.
- Expertise in setting up and maintaining control frameworks.
- A track record of balancing multiple priorities in a complex matrix organisation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across departments.
- A results-driven attitude and comfort working independently in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.

This role is paying between £150,000 - £180,000 + bonus and benefits. My client operates a hybrid working model and you will be required to go into central in the office 3 days per week.
