Role Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and drive strategic decision‑making. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organisation, with a focus on optimising processes and maximising profitability. Based in London and Remote, this position offers the opportunity to work with a forward‑thinking team in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparation of financial statements, and variance analysis.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to support strategic planning.
• Oversee cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and treasury functions to mitigate financial risk.
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion of audit deliverables.
• Provide financial guidance and support to cross‑functional teams, including sales, operations, and product development.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies to drive growth and profitability.
• Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Stay up‑to‑date on accounting standards and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in financial management, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
• Prior experience working with startups or high‑growth companies highly desirable.
• Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of UK GAAP.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
