Overview
Financial Planning and Analysis Lead (Remote) – Blai r West is supporting an ambitious business with the appointment of an FP&A Lead reporting to the Group’s CFO. This is a remote role (with occasional travel to sites in the UK) and involves building and maintaining financial models, budgeting, forecasting and analysis as a standalone FP&A remit. The incoming individual will work closely with the Executive team and support growth via acquisition, including due diligence, market analysis and deal completion.
The successful candidate will be suitably qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong commercial acumen and experience in scaling organisations that have grown via M&A. The role requires a high level of performance in a largely remote-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the company’s financial models.
- Lead on budgeting and forecasting activity.
- Analyze financial performance against business plans, highlight variances and identify commercial opportunities.
- Support the CFO in the preparation of board materials and investor packs.
- Partner with key stakeholders and budget holders to drive financial insight.
- Collaborate with IT to develop best-in-class reporting and analytical capabilities.
- Support M&A evaluation through modelling, synergy analysis and integration planning (where applicable).
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent with strong post-qualification FP&A or commercial finance experience.
- Familiarity with BI tools (ideally Power BI) and the ability to work with complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of the strategy of a PE-backed organisation is desirable.
