The role focuses on month-end reporting, intercompany reconciliation, balance sheet ownership, and development of the finance function. Responsibilities
Month-End Reporting: Take ownership of the month-end reporting process for a newly acquired business, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. Intercompany Reconciliation: Manage and resolve intercompany balances across the division, maintaining integrity and transparency in financial reporting. Balance Sheet Ownership: Be responsible for the division balance sheets, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and accurately reflect the financial position of the business. Team Collaboration: Work closely with junior finance managers, providing guidance and support to help develop their skills and ensure consistency across reporting and processes. Cash Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead the preparation of cash flow forecasts and quarterly budgets, contributing to effective financial planning and resource allocation. Audit Coordination: Oversee and coordinate the audit process across the Energy team, ensuring all requirements are met and supporting a smooth and efficient audit cycle. CAPEX & Fixed Assets: Manage capital expenditure tracking and fixed asset accounting, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. Process Improvement: Continuously challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to drive efficiencies, streamline workflows, and enhance reporting quality. Ad Hoc Finance Tasks: Support the wider finance function with various ad hoc tasks and projects, contributing to the overall success and agility of the team.
Profile / Qualifications
Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) Strong month-end & reporting experience Comfortable in a fast-changing environment
