As part of our continued growth in water and environmental risk services, we are expanding our Flood Risk & Drainage team and are looking for talented professionals at all levels to help shape sustainable development and resilience for our clients across the UK.
Whether you’re a Consultant or an experienced Associate, we’ll support you with the tools, training, and trust to make your mark.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will vary depending on your experience level but may include:
- Conducting or leading Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) in line with the NPPF and devolved nation equivalents
- Designing or reviewing sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and foul drainage strategies for developments of varying scale
- Using modelling software such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage or Flood Modeller (depending on level)
- Liaising with clients, regulators and planning authorities to secure consents and provide sound technical advice
- Preparing high-quality reports, drainage strategies, and technical appendices for planning submissions
- Mentoring junior staff, contributing to business development and managing projects (Senior, Principal and Associate levels)
- Supporting the team’s growth, developing new client relationships, and identifying commercial opportunities (Principal/Associate)
What We’re Looking For
- A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography or similar
- Experience delivering FRA and drainage design work in a consultancy or similar environment
- Familiarity with planning policy and regulatory frameworks in England (and ideally Scotland, Wales, or NI)
- Proficiency in CAD, GIS, and hydraulic modelling tools (depending on level)
- Chartered status (CEng, CIWEM, or similar) or working toward it (for senior levels)
- A proactive approach, great communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
