Harmonic are delighted to be working with one of the most reputable and globally known book publishing businesses, in the search for their next FP&A Analyst.

The Client:

With a global presence, our client has scaled impressively over the last 30 years into becoming one of the leading names in the publishing space. With revenue growth at 5% for the last financial year, our client is continuing to grow and solidify their already strong and established position within the market.

Representing authors and books from a range of genres and catering to all demographics, the business is at the forefront of providing best in class publications. With a keen eye on continually adopting and implementing cutting edge technology to improve their offering, this is an exceptionally exciting time to join this growing organisation.

The Role:

This is a newly created role illustrating the growth of the business and finance department as a result. Reporting into a Head of Commercial Finance and a Global Commercial Director, the successful candidate will receive first class mentorship and guidance.

The role will be broad in nature and encompass a range of duties across traditional management account responsibilities, while providing commercial analysis and value as well as business partnering across all departments. There will be a high requirement to provide insightful commercial information in order to support effective decision making, reviewing acquisition P&Ls and developing new and existing reporting to improve decision making across the business.

Duties:

• Business partner across business departments up to director level to ensure accurate forecasting
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Support with month end process
• Oversee new acquisitions for books division assessing P+Ls and financial viability
• Provide financial modelling for sales deals and new contracts with retailers
• Conduct performance reviews for book catalogues assessing profitability
• Support on 5 years business plans
• Act as point of contact and bridge gap between finance and external stakeholders / departments
• Strong, outward facing communicator

Bonus:

• Creative industry experience (publishing / music / tv&film etc)
• Power BI / data analytics experience

Salary: up to £42k + study support + great benefits package

Location: Central London (2 days in office)
