The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, with a dotted line to the founder, this role offers a unique blend of strategic and operational influence within a high-growth, design-led retail brand. As FP&A Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the FP&A function, ensuring the business has the financial clarity and insight it needs to make informed decisions. You’ll be instrumental in building and refining complex multi-currency, three-statement financial models, supporting accurate budgeting and forecasting cycles, and providing forward-looking analysis that underpins investment in future growth. Alongside the core FP&A remit, you’ll lead the monthly payroll process ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with the company’s reward structures.
This is a highly visible position that will see you working closely with senior leadership, internal teams, and external advisors, translating financial data into actionable insights. You’ll take the lead on weekly and monthly reporting of revenue and other key business metrics, helping the leadership team track performance against ambitious targets. The role will also give you scope to drive process improvements, harnessing automation and AI to make reporting more efficient and insightful. Responsibilities
- Lead and own the day-to-day running of the FP&A function, acting as the go-to expert for all forward-looking financial planning and analysis.
- Design, build, and refine complex multi-currency, three-statement financial models to forecast performance and guide strategic investment decisions.
- Drive the annual budgeting and reforecasting cycles, collaborating with department heads to ensure targets are ambitious yet achievable.
- Produce high-quality weekly and monthly reports on revenue, margins, and other key business metrics, delivering clear, actionable insights to leadership.
- Oversee monthly payroll from start to finish, guaranteeing accuracy in salary processing, commission calculations, and related reporting.
- Partner closely with the CFO and founder, presenting analysis that shapes strategic priorities and supports high-impact decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate financial data into commercial opportunities, ensuring finance is embedded into business operations.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements, streamlining workflows and boosting efficiency across FP&A and payroll activities.
- Leverage automation and AI tools to transform reporting capabilities, reducing manual input and increasing analytical value.
- Act as a key business partner to sales, marketing, and operations teams, ensuring financial performance is fully aligned with commercial objectives.
- Champion a culture of financial awareness across the business, helping non-finance colleagues understand how their actions impact performance.
What our client needs to see (required):
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Track record in commercial finance or FP&A roles
- Experience with complex financial modelling involving multi-entities and multi-currencies.
- Experience managing payroll
What we'd like to see (preferred):
- Transfer pricing experience
- Experience within retail, e-commerce, or wholesale which has a stock/inventory element

Location: London
Working Model: Hybrid (3 days in the office post-probation)
