A Front Office Business Analyst is required for a Renewable Energy Trading company at the forefront of sustainable energy production, optimisation, and trading innovation. With the UK committing over £24Bn to renewable energy, this represents an opportunity to directly influence the systems, workflows, and trading capabilities powering the UK’s energy transition.

Our client is a fast‑growing technology‑driven trading organisation, developing cutting‑edge platforms for real‑time optimisation and trading of renewable assets and power. As traditional fossil fuels are phased out, this business is scaling rapidly and pushing technological boundaries to accelerate the transition to clean energy markets.

Front Office Business Analyst – Energy / Commodity Trading domain experience required

As a Front Office Business Analyst, you will act as the key link between traders, technology, data and wider business functions, shaping requirements for real‑time trading, pricing, analytics, and optimisation systems. You will capture, translate and define business and functional requirements, support product design, enhance front‑office workflows, and ensure solutions meet the demands of fast‑moving power and renewable trading desks.

You will be involved in:

• Requirements gathering, process mapping and solution design
• Front office system enhancements, product feature definition and backlog ownership
• Supporting real‑time, event‑driven trading, pricing and decision‑support tools
• Working closely with trading, data, technical engineering and risk stakeholders
• Helping shape the next generation energy trading platform roadmap

Experience Required for this Front Office Business Analyst

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst within Energy / Commodity / Power Trading (essential)
• Direct front office exposure working with traders, quants or structurers
• Proven track record gathering and converting business needs into functional requirements
• Experience with real‑time, event‑driven or algorithmic trading systems (highly desirable)
• Understanding of trade lifecycle, market data, pricing, forecasting and dispatch
• Exposure to Agile delivery and working closely with software engineering teams
