FTC - Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

New Today

Overview

Pulse Solutions is the consultancy arm of Pulse Group London, delivering outcome-based technology projects across higher education, charity and the wider public sector. We’re scaling rapidly and now need an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us staff up multiple upcoming programmes of work. You’ll be joining a close-knit, entrepreneurial team and working directly with Ricky Burns (Co-Founder, Pulse Group) and Laura Hanna (Director, Pulse Solutions) to identify, attract and onboard the best contract talent in the market.

This is a delivery-driven role with clear ownership and measurable outcomes. You’ll be responsible for:

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and onboarding contractors across technology, project delivery, data and digital.
  • Driving time-to-hire efficiencies, ensuring roles are filled within agreed SLAs.
  • Maintaining exceptional candidate experience — from first contact to onboarding.
  • Building and managing talent pipelines for upcoming SOW and project demands.
  • Ensuring full compliance (Right to Work, IR35, documentation, onboarding standards).
  • Partnering with delivery leads to forecast resourcing needs and pre-empt bottlenecks.
  • Reporting weekly metrics on hiring velocity, candidate quality, and process improvement.
  • Average time-to-hire under 10 working days from role approval to contractor start.
  • Compliance accuracy across all placements.
  • Candidate satisfaction measured through post-placement feedback.
  • Proactive talent pools ready to deploy for key workstreams.
  • Continuous improvement of onboarding and resourcing workflows alongside leadership.
  • Proven success in contract recruitment, ideally in technology, digital or change.
  • Experience working with fast-moving, delivery-led teams where pace and quality both matter.
  • Confident using LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM/ATS tools, and Boolean sourcing techniques.
  • Comfortable balancing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Positive, resilient, and driven by outcomes rather than process.
  • Strong understanding of IR35 and contractor compliance best practices.
  • 6-month FTC (potential to extend or convert to permanent).
  • Hybrid working – mix of office (London) and remote flexibility.
