Full Stack Engineer - Platform Team (Romania). Remote EMEA. This role is based remotely as a full-time employee in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain and Israel. We are also open to contractors in Eastern Europe and Portugal.
The Opportunity
As a Full Stack Software Engineer on the Platform Team, you will be working on the foundational infrastructure and core services that power DoiT Cloud Intelligence. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining critical platform services including authentication systems, multi-tenant architecture, notification services, search infrastructure, and integrations that enable seamless user experiences across our entire platform.
The Platform Team owns essential services that every other team depends on, making this a high-impact role where your work directly influences the reliability, scalability, and user experience of our entire product ecosystem. You'll work on everything from auth-service and presentation-mode to Slack integrations, Algolia search, multi-tenancy support, and notification systems.
This is an opportunity to shape the core infrastructure that sits at the foundation of DoiT's platform and product strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Infrastructure & Core Services
- Authentication & Authorization: Develop and maintain our auth-service supporting Google OAuth, Microsoft OAuth, and email link authentication across multi-tenant environments
- Multi-Tenant Architecture: Build and enhance multi-tenant systems that provide isolated, secure experiences for thousands of customers while maintaining operational efficiency
- Demo Mode: Implement and maintain demo environments that showcase product capabilities using anonymized datasets for prospective customers
Integration & Communication Systems
- Slack Integrations: Build and maintain Slack app integrations for notifications, alerts, and workflow automation across customer workspaces
- Notification Systems: Develop comprehensive notification infrastructure supporting email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and in-app notifications with sophisticated routing and personalization
- Search Infrastructure: Work with Algolia to provide powerful, permission-aware search capabilities across users, customers, assets, invoices, and analytics data
Development & Operations
- Feature Implementation: From proposal through specification, implementation, and maintenance - you're expected to propose improvements and new capabilities
- Code Reviews: Participate in thorough code review processes, helping maintain high code quality standards
- Technical Debt Management: Dedicate time to improving codebase health and addressing technical debt proactively
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and engineers across teams, providing platform services that enable their success

Qualifications
Required Experience
- 4+ years of software development experience
- Full Stack engineering experience or strong Frontend/Backend engineer willing to expand skills
- Solid understanding of React, Node.js/TypeScript, and/or Go (willingness to learn if not already proficient)
- Experience with authentication systems and security best practices
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and API design
- Experience with Git/GitHub and collaborative development workflows
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Preferred Experience
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and identity management systems
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other major cloud providers
- Familiarity with Firebase services (Auth, Firestore)
- Experience with search technologies (Elasticsearch, Algolia, etc.)
- Knowledge of notification systems and messaging platforms
- Experience with Slack/Microsoft Teams integrations
- Understanding of Kubernetes and containerized applications
