About The Role
As a Lead Full-stack Data Scientist at Data Idols, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data-driven strategies of our client in the tech industry. Reporting directly to the Head of Data Science, you will lead a team of talented data scientists and engineers, providing technical guidance and strategic direction. Your responsibilities will include developing and deploying sophisticated machine learning models, managing end-to-end project lifecycles, and ensuring the successful integration of solutions into production environments. Qualifications
- Proven experience in building and deploying machine learning models into production environments
- Strong proficiency in Python, with extensive experience in data science libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Solid understanding of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud services for scalable data solutions
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing projects end-to-end and mentoring team members
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models to solve complex business problems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to define project scope and objectives
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of data solutions in cloud environments, primarily using GCP
- Manage the entire project lifecycle from initial data exploration and model development to deployment and monitoring
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the team’s capabilities and project outcomes
- Communicate findings and technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders, supporting data-driven decision-making
