This is an opportunity for Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Paramedics to further their career with a leading, multi-national employer in a hybrid working role with Full time and Part time roles available.
As a Functional Specialist, you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government’s disability allowance (PIP) whilst ensuring a personalised, inclusive, safe, and empathetic service for the claimant.
Benefits Include:
- Basic salary of £38,500 - £41,500*
- 5% retention bonus
- Rising to 10% quality & retention bonus*
- Hybrid Full time, Part time working hours available
- Training options: 12 weeks’ (full time), 14 weeks (4 days per week) & 17 weeks (3 days per week)
- 25 days Holidays per annum, rising to 27 days with service

Your New Role:
- As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will manage caseloads from end to end which includes delivering face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports (PBR).
- As a multi-skilled Functional Specialist, you will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.
- You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, and cognitive impairments.
- You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence, and team meetings.
Requirements:
- Qualified Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic.
- Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
- Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.
