Join to apply for the Fundraising Officer role at Royal British Legion.

We’re looking for a committed professional to manage legacy gifts and ensure they are administered in line with supporters’ wishes.

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for a varied caseload of legacy files, from straightforward pecuniary gifts to more complex residuary estates, foreign assets, and occasionally contentious cases.
  • Be the point of contact for executors, solicitors, other charities and beneficiaries, ensuring estates are administered correctly and that the Legion receives its full entitlement.
  • Protect the charity’s reputation and maintain the trust of supporters and their families.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Wills, Probate and Trusts, or legacy administration, from a legal practice or a charity environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inheritance tax, estate accounts and the wider legal framework.
  • Excellent attention to detail, the confidence to make decisions on complex issues, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Highly organised, with empathy and professionalism for sensitive conversations.

Details

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
  • Salary: £42,090 per annum (Inclusive of London Supplement)
  • Location: London hub with a Future Working framework (some remote work; minimum two days per week in the hub)
