This role is located in Manchester – HYBRID.In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:Building low latency connectivity to new marketsHands on technical development role on a critical trading applicationRequirements capture, analysis and design on the eTrading platformTesting and UA coordinationLiaison with the global business, support and development teamsTroubleshoot and optimization on performance and scalability issuesThird line support of the platform during trading hoursClose interaction with the business product manager and other internal business users covering FX tradingTo be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:Very strong core Java - including threading, sockets/networksWell versed in TCP/UDP protocolsKnowledge of financial messaging protocols especially FIXSolid SDLC knowledge and use of build, testing, deploy, code analysis toolsNice to have: KDB, Middleware’s such as Tibco RV, SolaceStrong interpersonal and articulation skills (spoken and written)Ability to partner with non-technical and technical peers; to work effectively with remote colleagues, and to participate technical discussionsAt BNY, our culture speaks for itself.
