Job role

We are looking for an experienced GIS strategic thinker to drive our Geospatial development across the organisation. You will support the GIS Manager and Senior Team Leader as one of two technical leads for the team, collaborating with colleagues across the EA, DEFRA and external partners to evolve our Geospatial Services and coordinate delivery with service leads.

The team

The National GIS Team provides Geospatial services and leads their use in the EA. We deliver with tools including Easimap, our in-house GIS view and query tool, ArcGIS Pro and EAMaps (ArcGIS Enterprise service). We also manage access to ArcGIS Online (AGOL). A joined-up, well-managed, modern suite of corporate services is essential for our users.

Experience/skills Required

  • Experience of delivering Enterprise Geospatial Services
  • Evidence of your ability to set a strategic direction and coordinate tactical delivery
  • The ability to work with a wide range of customers and partners
  • Experience of working with ESRI products
