Role purpose and team

This role is an opportunity to drive our Geospatial development across the organisation, enabling colleagues to deliver our environmental ambitions. You will join the National GIS Team as one of two technical leads, supporting the GIS Manager and Senior Team Leader and collaborating with EA, DEFRA and external partners to evolve our Geospatial Services. You will also work with service leads to coordinate delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support the GIS Manager and Senior Team Leader; act as one of two technical leads for the team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the EA, DEFRA and external partners to evolve Geospatial Services.
  • Coordinate delivery with service leads to ensure joined-up, modern geospatial capabilities.

Experience and qualifications

  • Experience of delivering Enterprise Geospatial Services.
  • Evidence of the ability to set a strategic direction and coordinate tactical delivery.
  • The ability to work with a wide range of customers and partners.
  • Experience of working with ESRI products.
