The Environment Agency is seeking a Lead Technician to drive our Geospatial development across the organisation and support colleagues in delivering challenging environmental ambitions. This role involves working with EA teams, DEFRA and external partners to evolve our Geospatial Services and coordinating delivery with service leads.

Overview
The National GIS Team provides Geospatial services and leads their use across the EA. We support tools including Easimap, in-house GIS view and query tools, ArcGIS Pro, EAMaps (ArcGIS Enterprise), and ArcGIS Online (AGOL).

Responsibilities

• Support the GIS Manager and Senior Team Leader as one of two technical leads for the team.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the EA, DEFRA and external partners to evolve Geospatial Services and ensure a modern, joined-up suite of corporate services.
• Coordinate delivery with service leads to meet environmental and regulatory objectives.

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience delivering Enterprise Geospatial Services.
• Evidence of the ability to set a strategic direction and coordinate tactical delivery.
• Ability to work with a wide range of customers and partners.
• Experience of working with ESRI products.

• There are no base location requirements; the role can be fulfilled via remote working.
