We are seeking a bold, strategic, and impact-driven Global Director, Family-Based Care in Child Protection – a global initiative focused on preventing the abandonment of newborns and supporting the reintegration of children from institutional care into families. Rooted in values of dignity, care, and justice, the project leverages media, art, education, digital innovation, and advocacy to address the root causes and consequences of social orphanhood. The long-term ambition is to scale the project across multiple countries, starting with inDrive’s current geographies and aligned partners. Responsibilities
Lead the Mother’s Home Digital project from concept through pilot and scale. Design and run awareness campaigns to engage media, influencers, and policymakers on the importance of family-based care and the urgency of addressing the orphan crisis. Implement behavioral change programs using art, education, and digital storytelling to shift societal perceptions and practices. Advocate for legislative and policy changes that promote family preservation and support vulnerable mothers. Build a data and monitoring framework to assess the scope of the issue and measure impact over time. Develop a scaling playbook based on pilot outcomes, adaptable for implementation in various countries.
Qualifications
Comprehensive Strategy Document – a scalable and measurable strategy with clear objectives, timelines, KPIs, and a long-term vision to address abandonment and promote family reintegration. Flagship Awareness Campaign – creation and launch of a compelling media and storytelling campaign using film, digital platforms, and art to change public attitudes and raise visibility of the issue. Advocacy Plan – a detailed legislative engagement roadmap and a set of well-researched policy proposals to promote family preservation and improve social safety nets for at-risk mothers and children. Child Protection Framework – development of institutional policies and community-based practices that prioritize early prevention and support family-based alternatives to institutionalization. Motherhood Support Integration Plan – a programmatic framework to support vulnerable mothers—through access to education, healthcare, psychological support, and economic opportunity—integrated into all public-facing and internal efforts. Scaling Playbook – a replicable implementation guide based on pilot testing, adaptable for rollout in other countries facing similar challenges.
