Team/Role Overview
The Global Domestic Core Payments team oversees our ACH and RTGS payments network, spanning 80+ markets. We drive innovation and harmonisation, creating solutions that align with our clients' evolving regional and global business models, focusing on delivering a best-in-class client experience. We build world-class solutions across payments rails to empower clients in today's dynamic marketplace. Our commitment is to lead the industry in next-generation payment solutions. This team is at the forefront of ensuring the stability and resilience of critical payment infrastructure globally, working collaboratively across diverse regions and functions.
What you'll do
This critical leadership role will spearhead the Operational Resilience strategy for Global Domestic Core Payments. The SVP will be responsible for ensuring the resilience and stability of our global core payments processes and platforms. You will be expected to:
- Set the global standard and drive the implementation of the global operational resilience strategy for core payments, aligning with regulatory requirements and industry best practices (e.g., PRA).
- Oversee the execution of operational resilience programs, ensuring effective governance and control mechanisms are in place, including a robust change control process for prioritizing and allocating resources and investment asks.
- Partner with local Product, Operations and Technology teams to conduct impact assessments, identify critical business services, define impact tolerances, feed into scenario testing and vulnerability identification efforts, and develop remediation plans.
- Oversee the allocation of resources to support operational resilience activities across different product lines and and jurisdictions.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, providing regular updates on the status of initiatives pertaining to the global resilience program and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring that appropriate contingency plans are in place and any vulnerabilities are remediated.
- Drive continuous improvement in our operational resilience capabilities, staying abreast of industry best practices and evolving regulatory requirements.
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic leader with a deep understanding of payments and operational resilience. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Solid industry experience in payments, with a focus on operational resilience, risk management, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including regulatory frameworks, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with senior stakeholders and diverse audiences.
- Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
