Job Type: Full-time only
Location: Remote (EU & UK only)
Responsibilities: Design & delivery of social media strategies (B2B)
The company
Bora is a cybersecurity marketing agency. We only work with cybersecurity companies. We only do cybersecurity marketing.
We work as an extension to our client's marketing teams, creating marketing and thought leadership content.
The role
We’re looking for a Global Social Media Manager to join our team. You’ll need previous cybersecurity experience to apply.
You will support our delivery teams to design and deliver client social media strategies.
Our clients are based worldwide, so we offer a truly flexible working arrangement. We work effectively to meet client needs, ensuring your happiness and well‑being are top of mind.
If you want to go cycling in the morning, you can. And if a client needs you to support a webinar at 8pm, you’ll be there.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement social media strategies to align with client goals.
- Communicate with followers, responding in a timely manner, and monitor customer activity.
- Set specific objectives and create reports for clients, using the insights to improve delivery.
- Stay abreast of social media platforms and cybersecurity industry trends and changes, adapting client plans accordingly.
The skillset
Organised af: You will come to meetings prepared with a plan and a timeline. You understand planning ahead will set you, your team, and your clients up for success. You’re the type of person who organises their email inbox with colours, and labels, and a sorting system.
Creative problem solver: Our clients come to us with problems. You offer creative solutions to those problems. Sometimes, they can be obvious and logical. They might also need additional creative input. No matter how the results are achieved, helping solve those problems is essential.
Listen to hear: You listen to hear and to understand. We want to know what our team and our clients are feeling. Ask lots of questions. Ask the right questions. Engage in discussions to uncover pains, situations, budgets, client structure, and critical events.
Curious: You notice things before our clients do. You notice social media trends, industry trends, emerging threats and opportunities, and opportunities to improve. You’re on top of the latest developments, ideally engrossed in the top security publications daily. You join the dots our clients don’t, bringing new ideas to their tables.
IF you’ve not had 1-2 years of experience doing some of the below, you should not apply.
- Social media management – primarily using LinkedIn, X, and Bluesky.
- B2B cybersecurity experience, doing;
- Studying cybersecurity (a degree, self‑study, professional development, are all fine)
- Content management/creation
- Public relations

- Writing. You must be able to write. We need someone who can communicate cleanly and clearly. Someone who is direct, whilst being cordial, human, and delightful. Someone who knows when and how to use dry, wry, witty humour. And someone who uses no superfluous business fluff. No one will be checking your work. You own your words!
- A sense of humour.
If you have or can relate to some of what’s described in this section, it will put you ahead in the process:
