Join the Close Brothers Sales Operations Team where you will to ensure a robust Governance and first line control framework is in place, providing in-house support and guidance as required. The role involves managing, mentoring and developing a team of six, whilst setting the team's strategic direction in line with the division's objectives. Working as part of the Sales Operations team our ideal team member will have previous experience in covering governance reporting, quality assurance, data protection and financial crime with excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop relationships with stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and document robust Governance and first line control frameworks as required, engaging with impacted stakeholders to create business-focused solutions.
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required including FCA, ICO, OFT and FLA.
  • Enhance governance, risk and control culture and understanding of the team's core activities across the business.
  • Monitor business units' compliance with anti-money laundering procedures and Bank Standards.
  • Ensure that Ongoing Screening (OGS) of Customers and Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) remains effective.
  • Oversee CBAFL compliance with data privacy legislation.
  • Embed the data protection framework within business units.
  • Recruit, train and employ high calibre employees within budget, headcount levels and temporary resource requirements.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities. Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.

  • Communicates effectively, clearly and appropriately by using a range of styles to engage the required audience.
  • Experience in delivering analytical work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience of leading a team to success across different levels of an organisation.
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of the industry and the market, understands the Asset Finance & Leasing Division, the business environment and their role within it.
  • Demonstrate judgement and analyses, evaluate and interpret information to reach an effective decision.

DESIRABLE

  • Understanding of key UK regulations would be preferable, namely: FCA handbook particularly SYSC, CCA, TCF and financial crime.
