We are recruiting Graduate Project Managers to join our growing Flood, Coast & Environment team in Chester and Bradford on Avon. We have a strong pipeline of projects undertaking project appraisals, design, construction supervision, and client secondment roles for key clients including the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales and local authorities. Our professionals work on schemes that have a real positive impact on local communities and the environment. We reduce the risk of flooding to protect people, homes and businesses, and manage the risk of coastal erosion.

Graduate Project Manager (FCE)
Flood, Coast and Environment

This is a great opportunity for an aspiring Project Manager to work in the Flood Risk and Coastal Erosion Management (FCERM) and Environment sectors. You will develop your skills and experience supporting our experienced Project Managers. We will provide support and development opportunities to you and enable you to undertake your role and work towards a professional qualification and membership, e.g. Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) with the Association for Project Management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop your understanding of our client’s requirements
  • Assist in planning, monitoring and controlling projects in terms of scope, time, cost, resource, risk, and procurement management
  • Assist in administering contracts, predominantly under the NEC Professional Services Contract
  • Assist in financial reporting to client and our business
  • Work to defined timelines
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to develop relationships across the business
  • Assist in creating proposals and costings for new projects
  • Assist in the assessment of commercial risk of projects during the sales process

Attributes

  • Hold a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) discipline or a degree in a different discipline with strong STEM A-levels
  • Motivated and driven to manage impactful water and environmental projects
  • Interest and dedication to work towards a professional qualification in Project Management
  • Be driven to develop and improve your technical skills and advance your career
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work under time pressure and balance multiple priorities
  • Collaborative individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills
