Amazing opportunity to join a retail group at a time of transformation for a period of 12 months. Manage, motivate, and develop the finance team. Reporting to the CFO, this role is 4 days in the office in Surrey and one day working from home.

Responsibilities of the Group Financial Controller Role

• Manage, motivate, and develop a dynamic, highly skilled team
• Review and improve processes and procedures to streamline the month-end close
• Review and improve balance sheet controls
• Manage cash flow and control
• Project manage the implementation of a new ERP system across the group
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts, liaise with HMRC, and resolve any queries
• Handle VAT and corporate tax matters

Requirements of the Financial Controller Role:

• Proven track record in managing and mentoring a team
• Experience in ERP systems implementation in a multi-site group
• A qualified accountant with a minimum of 10 years PQE, ideally from a multi-site group
• Excellent communication skills
