Overview

This is a unique opportunity for a senior finance professional to lead the financial control and reporting function across a growing international group.

As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial data across multiple jurisdictions, while driving harmonisation of accounting policies and systems following a series of acquisitions.

You will report directly to the CFO and partner closely with senior leadership to support strategic growth, financial integration, and value creation across the Boston Group portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Financial Accounting Teams across all jurisdictions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results.
  • Consolidate financial results across multiple entities, aligning with Group accounting policies and IFRS standards.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements and audit deliverables.
  • Manage statutory reporting and ensure all entities meet local filing and audit requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors across jurisdictions.
  • Support ERP and reporting system implementation and optimisation across the Group.
  • Challenge and review management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare financials and documentation to support potential exit events (sale or recapitalisation).
  • Partner with the CFO on strategic financial and operational projects.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 7+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven expertise in group consolidation, statutory reporting, and audit leadership.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP, with the ability to harmonise policies across entities.
  • Exposure to private equity, M&A, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing finance teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills able to translate complex financial data into clear insights.
  • Meticulous and proactive, with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
  • Experience in people‑based businesses with timesheet capture.
  • Big 4 audit background or experience in a transaction‑heavy environment.
  • Prior experience supporting an exit, sale, or recapitalisation event.
  • Exposure to private equity‑backed or acquisitive businesses.
