This is not your standard “keep the lights on” financial control role. It’s hands‑on, fast‑paced, and career‑defining. You’ll have oversight of everything from financial reporting and audit, through to tax, treasury, governance and controls - with the autonomy to build and improve along the way.

What you’ll be doing!

  • Leading group financial control across multiple entities.
  • Preparing and delivering consolidated group and subsidiary statutory accounts.
  • Driving month‑end close, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Managing the external audit process and liaising with auditors and advisors.
  • Overseeing statutory and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensuring robust governance, risk management and internal controls are in place.
  • Taking full ownership of group cashflow reporting, forecasting and liquidity management.
  • Managing treasury, debt structures, shareholder funding and banking relationships.
  • Supporting technical accounting, complex transactions and areas of judgment.
  • Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting to the board and investors.
  • Overseeing tax compliance and planning across corporation tax, VAT and employment taxes.
  • Partnering with internal teams to improve ERP systems and reporting processes.
  • Driving standardisation, automation and scalable processes across finance.
  • Leading, coaching and developing a small, capable team.
  • Supporting ad hoc projects including insurance, risk reviews and finance transformation.

What you’ll need

  • ACA qualified (Top 10 firm trained ideally) with strong post‑qualification experience.
  • Technical strength in accounting, tax and treasury.
  • Experience in a fast‑paced, international, multi‑currency environment.
  • Strong leader with the ability to influence and inspire.
  • Commercially minded, detail‑oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • PE or VC‑backed business experience is a bonus.
