An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an accomplished ACA-qualified Group Financial Controller to join a listed international organisation on a 6-month interim assignment. This role offers a unique chance to operate at Group level, providing strategic oversight and technical leadership across global finance operations.
The Opportunity
As Interim Group Financial Controller, you will take full ownership of the Group’s external reporting, consolidation, and audit processes, ensuring timely and compliant delivery to the highest standards. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, bringing technical excellence, financial acumen, and a commercially strategic mindset to support key business decisions.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS, ensuring accuracy and consistency across jurisdictions.
- Oversee the global year-end audit, managing key stakeholder relationships with auditors and advisors.
- Draft technical accounting and governance papers for Audit Committee review.
- Develop and refine advanced financial models to support scenario planning and strategic decision‑making.
- Collaborate with Treasury on FX management, hedging strategies, and debt covenant compliance.
- Partner with Tax to drive effective cross‑border planning and compliance initiatives.
- Lead accounting for share‑based payment schemes (IFRS 2), ensuring robust valuations and disclosures.
- Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks, embedding best practice across the Group.
About You
- Fully qualified ACA, ideally trained in a top‑tier firm, with 5+ years PQE.
- Proven track record in AIM‑listed or publicly quoted environments, ideally within group‑level HQ roles.
- Deep technical expertise in IFRS, UK GAAP, and complex consolidation.
- Highly proficient in financial modelling, cash‑flow forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- A collaborative, influential communicator, able to operate effectively at Board and senior stakeholder level.
- Resilient under pressure, with the ability to deliver results in a fast‑moving and demanding environment.
