We are currently working with a high-performing fintech organisation seeking a Head of Accounts Receivable (AR) to lead and optimise their global receivables function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional with a strong background in AR operations and automation to make a real impact within a dynamic, data-driven environment.

The Role

As Head of Accounts Receivable, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of AR management, improving cash flow efficiency, and driving automation initiatives across the receivables cycle. You’ll collaborate with finance, IT, and commercial teams to ensure seamless end-to-end processes and world-class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable Management
  • Lead all AR operations, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor outstanding accounts and ensure timely cash inflows.
  • Maintain accurate AR aging reports and deliver insights on collections performance.
Process Automation
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline AR workflows.
  • Collaborate with finance and IT teams to design and deploy automated solutions for invoicing, payment reminders, and collections.
  • Enhance reporting visibility through real-time dashboards and performance analytics.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Produce regular reports on AR aging, cash flow, and collection trends.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes related to AR.
  • Analyse payment patterns and recommend strategies to reduce DSO and improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and clear communication with customers.
  • Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in AR automation and fintech operations.
  • Promote continuous improvement in processes, compliance, and data quality.

About You

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or finance operations leadership.
  • Proven track record of implementing AR automation solutions (e.g., RPA tools, ERP integrations).
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar).

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong understanding of AR processes, controls, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident communicator with strong collaboration skills.
  • Highly organised and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
