Head of Business Development

Overview
We’re working with a fast-growing, entrepreneurial and remote-first agency on a mission to expand into new markets, and we’re looking for a Head of Business Development to help drive that growth. This is a newly created role for a commercially driven business developer with the network, flair, and credibility to open doors to new clients. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, you’ll take ownership of new business acquisition, building trusted relationships and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.
What you’ll be doing
- Proactively develop new client relationships through your network, outreach, and referrals
- Spot and shape opportunities, from smaller projects to six and seven-figure accounts over time
- Lead conversations, pitch, and build credibility with senior decision-makers
- Collaborate with creative and strategic team to craft compelling proposals
- Stay ahead of market trends and identify high-value growth opportunities
- Develop acquired accounts through cross-selling and upselling
What we’re looking for
- A heavy hitter with 5–10 years in business development or client leadership within a sizeable creative, comms, or events agency
- A strong network of brand and corporate contacts and the credibility to engage them
- Proven track record of winning high-value new business - your CV should demonstrate your results and performance
- Entrepreneurial mindset, commercial acumen, and consultative sales style
- Self-motivated and driven, with the confidence to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment
