Overview

Head of Business Development role at grw talent. UK remote based with international travel and time in London and Edinburgh offices.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Managing Director, lead the development and execution of a revenue strategy that supports wallet share growth in the existing Tier 1 customer base and sells current and new products and services to new customers and geographic locations.
  • Lead the design, creation and nurturing of a small but high performing international sales and key account management team and support the marketing function across the company.
  • Identify market opportunities and develop product and services roadmaps to enable the R&D team to deliver market-leading offerings.
  • Drive identification and evaluation of new global business opportunities and market segments, including strategic partnerships.
  • Represent the company at selected trade shows identified as key value-add opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Directors to build marketing support and go-to-market strategies for new products and features.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration in current and future offerings across new and existing Tier 1 retail clients.
  • Partner with the Finance Director to advise on sales targets, forecasts and remuneration.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product development and operations to align sales with overall objectives.
  • Drive the development and implementation of sales and marketing processes, tools and training to optimise efficiency and wallet share in the existing client base.

Qualifications

  • Ideally educated to degree level, with a technical subject being advantageous.
  • Proven new business development experience selling OEM products and solutions into a complex international customer base and growing wallet share in existing key accounts.
  • Measured, long-term, results-focused sales leadership with ability to develop BD strategies for longer, more complex sales cycles.
  • Experience spanning various industry sectors; advantageous to have grown a brand in a larger business or grown revenue in SME or start-up environments.
  • Experience selling equipment, solutions and services into retail, logistics and warehousing environments; good technical appreciation of selling hardware and related software/automation.

Salary and Benefits

Your base salary is £70-90,000 DOE, with a generous uncapped OTE, fully expensed car/allowance, pension, holiday and additional benefits.
